Another addition to the Xmas wish list
I'd quite fancy an Yves Saint Laurent cocktail ring (the gold one with the tiny turqouise stones please). And only £115 for a bit of super-luxe-ness? Don't mind if I do...
Some reading for the holidays...
I'm in mourning today. For a book. It all ended rather abruptly on the Tube on my way to work, a surprise finish and that was it. I seriously urge you to read it - Muriel Barbery's "The Elegance of the Hedgehog". For anyone who has lived in Paris, or even dreamed of it, this book shall serve as a sweet reminder of the subtlety of the French humour. The philosophical musings and beautiful prose seem all the more fragrant when you learn that it is in fact a translation from the French version. There is something decidedly Audrey about the whole thing. And true to the title, elegant is the only word that can possibly sum it up.

"All I want for Christmas is..."
...a bottle of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. You can practically smell the expense wafting from the lid.
...the White Gold Ladies' Nautilus Patek Philippe, or failing that I suppose I could live with a Cartier Tank Francaise.
...a cashmere grey and black Burberry scarf. I get cold.
...a Vivienne Westwood brooch.
...a studded Pringle bag. In purple. With gold hardware.
...a grey faux fur coat.
...a Vespa. In mint green with cream highlights.
...a little furry animal that doesn't poo or need to be taken on walks.
...a shabby chic apartment in Paris.
...a Bahamian island.
If you can supply all or some of the above then please get in contact.

Just a little note...
Things that are of interest this week:
1. Jade Jagger's new store. Cannot wait to browse through that baby!
2. Advent calendars. Just because.
3. The absolutely divine, delicious and relatively cheap Body Butter from Greek brand Korres. My favourite is Vanilla Plum. It's available at Liberty, and although the packaging is a tad utilitarian, I assure you it's fabulous. If they make a perfume version I'll be first in line!
4. Military coats. I know, I know, same story every year, but honestly there are some beauties on the high street at the minute. I got a very Burberry-esque number at Topshop, and Dorothy Perkins (what a surprise - best collection I've ever seen in DP this season - look out for the ankle boots!) has a full-on 19th century Army version complete with gold piping and epaulettes. It is the trend that never dies...
5. Shoes. Desperately needed for graduation. River Island (again surprise - they are scrimping on the OTT glitter and bejewelled-ness at the moment - it can only be a good thing) have some hot hot hot skyscraper heels but can I justify spending 150 quid on shoes from RI? Decisions decisions...
Love etc...

I heart David Koma
The above statement is true.
For those that have been living under a rock for the past few weeks, David is the man behind Cheryl Cole's fashion faux pas on The X Factor, the duly dubbed "dustbin lid" dress. Fresh out of the so-hip-it's-not-true Central Saint Martins MA course, Koma hit the headlines when he scooped the 2009 Harrods Design Award. His heavily sculpted dresses with their loud beading and adventurous cut soon became the talk of the town and everyone was dying to get their hands on one - including a certain Mrs Cole. But oh despair when she waltzed on stage on Halloween night. The lass from Newcastle had paired our David's piece of art with thigh-high boots, a Croydon facelift and some questionable hoop earrings. My oh my.
Showing the world how to rock a Koma was Beyonce a week later at the MTV Europe awards, in a form-fitting version of Cheryl's dress. All eyes were on the Bootylicious songstress as she wowed the fashionistas with her sartorial sense. What did she have that poor Cheryl didn't? The body, the hair, the accessories?
Regardless, our David hit the headlines and is currently the toast of the fashion set. And he's a lovely boy to boot! Always with a friendly smile, absolutely no ego, and still sewing his creations with his own fair hand. He'd tuck them in and read them a bedtime story if that wasn't a bit weird. Kudos David. I love you.
No airs and graces. Aww, bless.

Oh dear, oh dear
Good God. First blog post and it's a bitter one.
The H&M collaboration with Jimmy Choo. Oh Tamara, you should have known better than to force this upon us. We know the buyers have to the keep the costs low and blah-de-blah but really - I could have picked up those red heels in Primark. A slice of high fashion at high street prices? I'd rather go to Topshop.
